Chapter 140

uke, I sense something is bothering you, right," Manall said, while he got up from the couch in his new living room. Manall followed Luke approving look with a smile.
"Yes, those hotheads of grandsons have done a good job, and they were right too. This house is in perfect conduction, and I've got a lot of extra space upstairs. Once I'm back on Tyr I will gather my personal belongings for my house and close off there for an indefinite time.
But you want to share what's bothering you, don't you?" the old harvest man said.
"Yes, master Manall. Several things have come up recently which need action from the Jedi Knights," Luke said.
"And because all your Jedi Knights are here on Palomintar Four to help us Quelans to undo the trace of deterioration due to admiral Matrik's illegal occupation you're worried because some Jedi Knights have to leave?" Manall remarked.
For a moment Luke looked astounded at Manall, but then he began to smile.
"Apologies, master Manall, I'm still not used to talk to the former padawan of my father. He surely has taught you much."
"As much as he was allowed too. I always practised a lot after he and Obi-Wan had left Palomintar Four again."
"Anakin must have been very sure about your Force influence, master Manall. If times had been different, I'm sure you would have become a Jedi Knight yourself."
"Thank you, Luke, I consider your words as a great compliment, but let's not talk about the past, let's have a good talk about what's coming up."
Luke told Manall about the Supreme Chancellor's mission and her wish to have some Jedi Knights in her delegation to Lumeara. Manall nodded understandingly, and looked at his young Jedi friend.
"Reasonable request, I should think, after what I have heard, although the Jedi Knights who will accompanying her need to keep low profile and never should reveal their attachment to the Force. It's a good decision to send your sister, a Jedi master herself, to support those two Jedi friends, master Martan and the son of my old friend Tama-Hin Kenobi. That the last one has to leave will surely disappoint my grandson Lorann, but he also has to learn to cope with setbacks. Life isn't always easy, but disappointments will make a man stronger, Luke. You certainly have experienced that yourself."
Luke nodded.
"More than once, master Manall, but talking about setbacks, recently I have had a talk with governor Toallin. Shaayla-Car and I have asked him to officiate our wedding, once all the Quelans have found a new way of living in Ribana again. The complete restoration of the town still need time, so our wedding plan won't be scheduled yet, also because my sister and Shaayla-Car's brother are joining the Supreme Chancellor's mission."
"That's indeed a setback, Luke, for both of you, right?"
"We accept it as a bit of bad luck, master Manall, it's not happening coincidentally, for during my talk with the governor he mentioned another obstacle to make our wedding official and valid throughout the galaxy."
Manall frowned.
"Do you mean that the governors can't officiate your wedding, Luke?"
"No, governor Toallin told me that he will officiate our wedding together with his brother, so Shaayla-Car and I will get married, but he can't give us an official certificate of our marriage, because the dates of our births is unknown."
"You both don't possess any official document that confirms the date of your births," Manall.
Luke nodded.
"Leia and I are born on Polis Massa. There were witnesses of our births, but they all have died on have become on with the Force. Shaayla-Car's birth must have been on Morantan, but once again her mother, Severini Solichor became a Force ghost during her lightsaber duel with Darth Vader."
Manall looked at Luke with a compassionate look in his eyes.
"Master Manall, as a good friend of my father, I don't want to hide for you what menace he has been after the emperor had seduced to embrace the Dark Side of the Force and become a Sith lord. As Darth Vader Anakin killed both Shaayla-Car's parents and he gave the order the killed my uncle and aunt, his stepbrother and his wife on Tatooine."
"It still incomprehensible, Luke, that a good man as Anakin Skywalker has lost all who once have been dear to him." Manall said in a comforting voice.
Luke smiled a little wryly.
"Only at the end of his life did he realize what he had misjudged. He renounced the Dark Side and became Anakin Skywalker again as a Force ghost. Whatever he has done wrong, master Manall, he will always be my father."
"Of course, Luke, but back to the predicament of your births and that of Shaayla-Car, for I understand that you and Shaayla-Car need to figure out if anyone has made a official document of your birth, and that means that you also have to leave Palomintar Four for a while."
Luke nodded.
"Which means that five Jedi Knights, who had committed themselves to help the Quelan community, will be away. Master Manall, this feels as if the Jedi Knights are turning their back on the Quelan community we have promised to help and get back their way of life."
"Nonsense, Luke. It's the Quelans themselves who have to roll up their sleeves and make sure that Ribana will be our town again. The Jedi Knights have given us the opportunity, for thanks to their efforts admiral Matrik has been summoned to leave this planet. He has left us a ruined Ribana, but that will given the Quelans the opportunity to rearrange the way they have been living together before Ribana had been occupied. No longer should their be a separation between the group of harvest families and the Quelans who were living in Ribana. They are all Quelans and admiral Matrik's occupation have to make us aware that we all belong to one community. Luke, I'm sure that all Jedi Knights will come back, before your wedding with Shaayla-Car will be celebrated. Don't let anyone assume that the Jedi Knights have left, because they thought their promise to be fulfilled. Whoever will come up with such an argument will have me on his path, for I will defend the Jedi Knights. Always, Luke."
"Thank you, master Manall. There one thing I want to ask you and Cornell," Luke said.
"What to do with my grandson Lorann." Manall said with an understanding smile.
Luke began to laugh.
"It's not easy for a Jedi Knight to ask another Force-user to hear him out, for the Force-user often know in advance what's the matter." He said, looking at Manall. "While five of the Jedi Knights will be away, hopefully for a short time, I will ask my friend Wedge Antilles to join the third group and take Chati Fonaldris with him to Myr. I can't tell if he will find a possibility to continue with her training, but being a padawan learner Chati has also to carry out certain assignments on her own. Wedge will probably asked her to support her mother and and her aunt at the vineyard, for Chati wants to see her old home again, although the confrontation will be painful.
With Tama-Hin away on a mission and Wedge Antilles and Chati here on Myr, your grandson Lorann should be left alone on Tyr."
"Will Kamalin come to Myr, too, Luke?"
"That's something I don't know, and I know that you want to ask Lorann's schoolmaster to keep and eye on him. That would certainly be an good option.
Master Manall, I have seen the many drawings your grandson has made of the restored house in Ribana and with the second group coming back he certainly can make a lot more drawings to encourage his fellow Quelans, but I have a request for Cornell and for you."
"Speak up, Luke, or do you want me to call my son, so we can talk the three of us," Manall said.
"That would be even better, master Manall," Luke said gingerly.
"Wait here, my young friend. I will ask one of my new neighbors were Filann or Cemall are around."
Manall left his new home, but returned within a few minutes, and Luke heard the sound of speeder driving off.
"Cemall will get his father, Luke. He will be back with him shortly," the old harvest said.
While they were waiting Manall asked Luke where Shaayla-Car was.
"I expected that the two you are inseparable, Luke," Manall said laughing.
"We are, master Manall, but that doesn't mean that we have to be together any moment of the day. Shaayla-Car is still working in the vineyard. She loves pruning those vines, and she gets along very well with the governors' wives, Udine and Carmona."
There was a knock on the door and Cornell entered.
"Hey, hello, Ben, you're here. Father, why did you send Cemall to me."
"Luke has a request to both us, Cornell, so we'd better listen to him." Manall said.
Luke sensed that the former harvest leader seemed to have lost a great deal of his former aggressiveness.
"Cornell, my request concerns your son Lorann. I have told your father that Wedge Antilles and Chati will join the third group when they come to Myr, and due to a request of the Supreme Chanellor my sister, Yarmod Martan and Tama-Hin Kenobi have to go back to Irithim. Temporarily, I hope."
"If the brother of your fiancée won't be any longer on Tyr Lorann will be without his Jedi friend and with Chait's Jedi master here Lorann can go to the nut woods alone, although he seems to have become good friends with those birds." Cornell said.
He looked at Manall
"Should we ask master Kamalin to take care of him, father," He asked. "Maybe he will accompany Lorann when he wants to feed those birds."
"Cornell, our young friend here has another option, I guess. Speak out, Luke, what do you want." Manall said and winked at Luke.
"Cornell, I hope that you are a bit convinced that Lorann possesses some special talents," Luke said carefully.
"It seems so, Ben. I can't judge that, but if you say so, I believe you." Cornell answered. "But I have had a look at those drawings he made and I have to admit that they are amazing. I have seen those deteriorated houses and I have seen what the owners have done when cleaning up or doing repairs. The difference between the first and the second drawing are remarkable. Master Kamalin has been right, Lorann has a special talent for drawing, but I can't see if he can make a living with it. Can you, Ben?"
Luke nodded.
"Yes, Cornell, I can. It seems to me that you're no longer have any doubts about your youngest son talents. During the Harvest Council I have told that Lorann is a Force-user, and he is developing a good believe in his skills."
"So, you're convinced he will be a Jedi Knight, like you and your other friends, one day?" Cornell ask and for a moment Luke heard the harvest man's old aggressiveness in his voice.
"Yes, Cornell, I'll be honest to you, for Lorann's talent points that way. Lorann has told master Kamalin that he not only listens to what the Quelans tell, but he also sees what he hears as clear images in his mind. He sees what was, he sees what is, and he also sees what a house will look like when finished: the house itself, but also its surroundings; the fences, the gardens, the vegetation."
"Like it was before the intruder disturbed our way of life." Cornell commented.
Luke nodded.
"Your son Lorann, Cornell, can develop his talents and become a Jedi seer, one of those Jedi Knights with a special talent to look behind reality and see the past, the present, and the future, compare what he sees and draw conclusions about what consequences the conclusion will have for the galaxy.
I just told you that Shaayla-Car's brother has to go back to Irithim. Shaayla-Car and I don't want to leave Lorann without the guidance of a Jedi Knight, so we want to take over Tama-Hin task until he returns."
"Sounds good to me, Ben, for the youngster will feel devastated when his friend has gone. So you want him to come to Myr too, when the third group arrives here. Well, I'm sure that we will find some chores for him to do. I think he can make himself useful to make drawings of Ribana while he sees what's going on, and while you and miss Kenobi will keep an eye on him I don't object, for also his grandfather can take care of him."
"Cornell, I'm glad that you trust me and Shaayla-Car with this task, but I want to go one step further. Shaayla-Car and I need to go on a journey to some planets in this galaxy too. We need to find some documents to proof our dates of births.
"That probably a request from governor Toallin, for I've heard that you and miss Kenobi want to celebrate your wedding on Palomintar Four. That's a great honor for us Quelans, Ben. It means that you see us as your equals."
Luke laughed.
"All Jedi Knights do, Cornell, but to come back to my request I want to take your son Lorann with us on our journey."
Cornell looked flabbergasted and Manall looked at Luke with an agreeing nod.
"You want to show Lorann that there are more planets in this galaxy than Palomintar Four with Ribana, the world of the Quelans?"
Luke nodded.
"I need your permission, Cornell. Lorann is underage and you're his father. I hope you will give my request a good thought."
"What do you expect him to do, Ben, on that journey?" Cornell asked.
"We want him to make drawings of the different planets we have to visit. We want him to look, to see, and tell Shaayla-Car and me what he feels."
"I once said, Ben, that you're spoiling the boy, but you certainly did that because you were already aware of what Lorann can do. This journey will help him to develop his future talent, right."
"That's what I expect, Cornell," Luke said.
"But it also means that you and miss Kenobi will be in the company of an young Quelan boy who who wears his heart on his sleeve and constantly has all kinds of questions. That will be a heave burden while you're looking for those documents, Ben. What does your fiancée think of your plan."
"In fact, Cornell, it is her plan. She convinced me that this trip can be very useful for Lorann. It will also make his disappointment about the absence of your son's best friend, Tama-Hin Kenobi, less noticeable."
"One question, Ben, before I tell you what I will decide. Will miss Kenobi's brother become my son's Jedi master, for I want him have the best Jedi teacher there is." Cornell asked.
For a moment Manall looked at his son with a frown, but Luke laughed.
"You know, Cornell, that it is my prerogative to tell a Jedi Knight that he is ready to choose himself a padawan learner. I tell you, that when I'm convinced that Tama-Hin Kenobi is ready to take the responsibility for Lorann, they both will have my blessing."
Cornell grinned and stretched his hand.
"And you and miss Kenobi have my blessing to take that whirlwind of a son of mine on the journey you're planning. When are you going to leave?" He said and shook his with Luke.
"After the third group has arrived here, Cornell, for Shaayla-Car and I wanted to encourage the third group as we have done with the other groups."
"Using some special Force power, I guees," Cornell said grinning again. "Seems to have been useful, Ben, for the second group was very willing to roll up their sleeves, and to be honest my men and me also felt a bit wary, but that was gone after you two arrived. How long will you be away?"
"Difficult to say, Cornell, for we're not sure where to look for those documents that proofs our date of births. But on behalf of Shaayla-Car I want to thank you for your trust." Luke said.
"You will probably tell it yourself to my son." Cornell said and stood up. "I'll be going, Ben. There's still a lot to do here and we only have two days before we all go back to Tyr. Send your fiancée my greetings and my blessing. I'm not yet good acquainted with her, but her plan feels good, for she cares about my son." Cornell said and left.
Luke looked at Manall who stood up and patted the young Jedi on his shoulder.
"You're fulfilling my grandson's dream and mine, Luke. One day I hope to give the training's lightsaber Anakin once gave to Lorann, so Tama-Hin can teach him how to wield it and make sure that Lorann will assemble his own lightsaber one day." the old harvest men said. "My compliment, Luke, your plan sure gives me good hope for Lorann's future."
"Lorann will be a Jedi Knight, Manall, for I have a mandate to look everywhere to find and train potential Force-users. Your grandson and Chati will become the Jedi Knights of the New Order." Luke said.

Lorann laid in his bed in the room above the school building. He looked at the dark sky he could see through the window opposite the foot of his bed. He thought of how he had sensed the great Uram leader and had dare to greet him using that new Force use master Kenobi was teaching him. Master Kenobi was going away. He had too, for he had to support the leader of the New Republic. That must be someone very important.
'I hope that my master will be back soon.' Lorann mused, for a moment unaware that he unwittingly made use of what he learned that day.
'Lorann, I'm not your master, I only your friend.' The voice of Ian sounded in his mind.
Stubbornly Lorann shook his head.
'You are my master, master Kenobi, for you are teaching how to use the Force this way.'
'Which I'm not allowed too, Lorann, but I have to teach this, because I don't want to leave on your own, when I'm gone.'
'You're so kind, master Kenobi. Yes, I will feel alone when you're gone, but I will count the days unitl you are coming back.'
'When I come back, Lorann, you have to tell me how many days you have counted.' Ian answered and he felt some inquietude in his stomach. >'But now you should go to sleep, Lorann, and forget what's troubling both of us.'
Ian used his Jedi voice to reassure Lorann and reached out to the boy with his compassionate and comforting feelings as a Jedi healer.
'Sleep well, master Kenobi. Will we practise tomorrow?' Lorann said feeling drowsy.
'We will, Lorann. May the Force be with you, my friend.' Ian said as he felt that the Quelan boy was falling asleep.
Ian looked at Wedge Antilles who was sitting opposite of him.
"You know that Luke has warned you, don't you, Tama-Hin?" Wedge asked.
"I have told Luke that I'm not ready to take the responsibility for a padawan learner, Wedge. Luke agreed with me." Ian remarked.
"And yet, you're teaching Lorann how to use Jedi telepathy?"
"Yes, I have to, Wedge. I can't leave Lorann without guidance."
"Once again you're developing an emotional attachment to someone, Tama-Hin. You must learn to control your feelings. Your attachment to Lorann might influence your behavior on the mission with the Supreme Chancellor."
"My old master is joining us, if I will not know how to cope with my concern, I will ask her for advice. Wedge, Lorann has such a great potential of Force skills. Leaving him without guidance might ruin his future."
"That's an assumption you don't know, Tama-Hin. You should rely on the Force and let her tell you what you should do."
"That's what I have done and it's my believe that the Force wants me to keep in touch with Lorann, just in case.
I don't know why, Wedge, but I don't have a good feeling about the outcome of the mission. What you have told us isn't reassuring. I sense that the Lumearanian leaders are still full of rancor about what has happened during the Clone Wars. They had nurtured their grudge over along period. The Lumearanians seem harbor resentment over something that has not been proven. You haven't been able to find anything in the Jedi Archive about that massacre on Lumeara. We don't even know if it was Jedi Knights who dealt this blow to the Lumearanian population.
The Clone Wars ended more than thirty years ago. The war itself lasted about three years I've heard. All I know about it come from hearsay, for I wasn't even born yet. Still the Lumearanian leaders seem to still wallow in their resentment. That's a dangerous beginning for the Supreme Chancellor, Wedge, and you know I'm right. You're mission lasted nine months.
The Supreme Chancellor's mission isn't really good idea, although I understand that she wants to offer the Lumearanians help from the New Republic and show that the former Rebel Alliance isn't the enemy. During Palpatine's reign, Lumeara supported him unconditionally and thwarted the Rebel Alliance in every possible way, and now that things are going worse for them and the Provisional Coruscant Council responded negatively to a request for help, they are suddenly asking their former enemies for help. Wedge, this doesn't feel right. I get the feeling that during this mission, we are walking into a trap, when the Lumearanians will take us as hostages for something that is unproven."
Wedge Antilles looked at his young friend. Ian's worries didn't sound illogical, but show the great Force insight the young Jedi had developed.
Wedge wondered if the Supreme Chancellor could be mistaken about accepting the invitation from the Lumearanian leaders. He has met them and he still felt much uneasiness about the way they have talked together. It hadn't been a conversation among equals. It had more or less felt as an interrogation, as if he and Yarmod were the representative of an illegal government. He looked at Ian and saw the worried look in his friend's eyes.
For a moment Wedge Antilles remained silent, but then he made a decision to cooperate with this young Jedi friend who was feeling the same he had experienced in reality.
"You'd better go on teaching Lorann how to keep in touch with you. Make the bond between the two you as strong as possible, Tama-Hin. Make sure that if anything might happen during that mission you will be able to warn at least one who can surely be reach with Jedi-telepathy." Wedge said.
Bewildered, Ian looked at the older Jedi Knight.
"You want me to neglect what Luke has told me I shouldn't do?" He asked.
"Yes, from now on, until you have to leave for Irithim you should only talk with Lorann using Jedi telepathy." Wedge said.
"Others will know what I'm doing, Wedge. All Jedi can intercept what Lorann and I will be talking about."
"What I want you to teach Lorann requires a special way of telepathy, Tama-Hin. You have to explicitly connect yourself through the Force with Lorann. Your a Jed Knight and while you reach out to Lorann and connect with the boy's mind, you should encapsulate him in your Force connection. Want to practise? I can show you?"
"Sure, what do I have to do?"
"Nothing, just relax." Wedge said and became one with the Force and connected himself explicitly with Ian's mind.
'I understand, Tama-Him, why you are teaching this to Lorann.'
Ian immediately felt how the Force began to encapsulate him in a extreme strong Force bubble, much stronger than he normal uses when he was reaching out to Lorann with the Force.
'What makes this connection with the Force feels so much stronger than normal, Wedge.'
'Because you first have to reach out to the one want to connect with and encapsulate him with your Force power, before you really start communicating to him. Normally you start communicating through telepathy without establishing a connection, you just reach out to the one you want to communicate with. That way makes it possible for any Jedi to intercept what's said. Not that it matters, for in fact the Jedi have no secrets for each other, but there are other species who also can intercept Force telepathy.'
'Which species, Wedge?'
'There's long lift of species the Jedi suspect that they can intercept our secret way of communication. Therefore Luke, Leia and I are always communicating using the more secured way. It's habit, Tama-Hin, but a very useful one. Once you have mastered it you will use it always.
'How did you learn it?'
'Not how, but who, Tama-Hin, and the answer is: Luke. He convinced me that this way to communicate with each other is better, safer and more reliable.'
'Luke never taught me, Wedge. He was my master...
'... while your master was on her honeymoon, but who did reach out to you when you were in trouble on Palomintar Six.'
Ian became silent and recalled what happened after he'd gotten wounded after that blast in Ktafunda.
'Leia, Wedge. I heard her calling my name, I answered her, but I was in too much pain to answer her more properly. Did she connect herself explicitly with me to find out what happened. I have felt her presence reaching out to me a few times, but I couldn't answer. Only after Liane had given me her help as a healer I began to feel better. Wait! Wedge. Did Liane also connect herself explicitly with me to reach me?'
'I can't confirm that, Tama-Hin. You should think that over for yourself, but tell me who you reach at first after you had recovered.'
'Leia again, Wedge. I felt her strong presence through the Force and when I heard her voice I told her where I was.'
'See, and you never has a similar connection with Luke, right.
'No, why didn't he teach me this.'
'Because Luke wanted the connection between you and Leia to be stronger than his bond with you. He was only temporarily your master, Tama-Hin.'
'Thanks, Wedge.'
'OK, now we practise the other way round. You should explicitly connect with me and encapsulate me with your Force skills. Take your time, do force it.
Ian released himself for a moment from his Force connection with Wedge Antilles. He turned inward to find a new, but deeper connection with the Force before he explicitly focussed on Wedge. He felt how the Force began to connect him with the older Jedi, not immediately, but through a bubble of Force encapsulation in which Wedge became the only one he wanted to talk with.
'Is this what you mean, Wedge?' He asked still feeling hesitant.
'Excellent, Tama-Hin. You fully understand how the Force can help you communicate with only one specific Force-user, or Jedi Knight.
I've taught this to Yarmod, while we were on Lumeara, for I feared that there were other creatures which could be familiar with the Jedi way of communication.
Yarmod and I never used our infocom. An infocom can be intercept, also the most secured one, but a strong Force connection to make communication between two Jedi Knights can't be overheard.
Tomorrow the four of us are going to practise this. You and me will communicate using the strong way in the beginning. We will ask Chati and Lorann if they have heard what we were saying to each other. Next we both will establish this strong Force connection with our Quelan learners. I will talk to Chati and you will practise with Lorann. Afterwards I will ask Lorann if he knew what I said to Chati and you can ask Chati she has heard what you said to Lorann. Then we change, you talk with Chati and I talk with Lorann, and after we're finished we asked them the same questions. We won't teach them to establish this kind of Force connection with us. I leave it up to you to teach that to Lorann, and I urge you to teach him this way of Force use, and he can make full use of it, Tama-Hin.'
Ian released himself from his Force connection with Wedge.
"Like me, you have a bad feeling about this mission, haven't you?"
"Let's say, Tama-Hin, that my experiences on Lumeara have ensured me, that the Supreme Chancellor's request to have some Jedi Knights among the persons of the delegation is a huge risk.
Teach Loran what we practised and will practise as long as no other Jedi Knight has arrived on Tyr.
When you're might run into problems in Lumeara you will be able to reach Lorann on Myr. Yarmod knows how to reach me. Maybe these safety precautions aren't necessary, but it might be of some help, and Tama-Hin, don't trust any Lumearanian, neither a commoner, nor one of their leaders."
"This is all not reassuring, Wedge, but I'm glad with what you taught me tonight."
"We'd better get come rest now ourselves. Tomorrow we will go to the nut woods with Chati and Lorann, for that's a good spot to practise while they are feeding the young Urams."

"You had to store a part of what your load at De'olon space port?" Han asked in wonder.
"We had to. Our cargo hold was filled up to its limit. The gift from the New Republic was so much that we had to make a decision of what were the most essential items. We have told master Woldrin that we would go back to Dalmaran to get the rest whenever he wanted, but he told us he first want to distribute what we have brought back. We also had to hand over the remaining amount of credits, but we promised master Woldrin to get the rest as soon as possible.
We've heard that Leia, Yarmod and Tama-Hin had to join the Supreme Chancellor on a mission. That would be a good opportunity to get the rest of the cargo."
"I'm going to bring my wife and her two Jedi friend myself to Irithim, Yarnick," Han said. "But maybe I could take that load back for you."
Yarnick should his head.
"Security lock with our faces and fingerprints. We don't trust any one, Han."
Han Solo grinned.
"You guys are very suspicious, Yarnick, but I agree that we traders can't be alert enough."
Leia had listened to Han's conversation with Yarnick Grann.
"Han, darling, you were already in doubt about the trip to Dalmaran and so was Chewbacca, because there too much to do here. I have been thinking to ask my brother to bring me to Dalmaran, but now that Yarnick wants to get the rest of their purchases it's a good opportunity for you and Chewie to stay behind on Myr with the third group. Darling, I know you don't really like this, although you agree that's its my duty to support the Supreme Chancellor, but you also said that helping the Quelans here is your duty. Before I leave with Mon Mothma I can contact you to say goodbye and inform you about the details of the mission. Nori's new comsystem is operational, he says. Han, we have to think efficiently.
There's some rest of the gift from Mon Mothma still on De'olon. Yarnick wants to pick it up. Yarmod, Tama-Hin and I need to be transferred to Irithim. So what will be easier that that we make the trip Yarnick and his brothers."
Leia turned to Chewbacca.
"What do you think, Chewie, would be the best solution."
Chewbacca grunted a long sentence to Han who nodded in agreement. Leia smiled.
"See, my love, your first mate wants to continue with the demolishing of the harvest men's community building and the foundations of the original harvest men's houses, for it will support master Manall's changing plan. Without Chewie's help your journey back will be difficult without a co-pilot."
"I'll think about Yarnick. I'll let you know after we're going back to Myr with the third group"
"Agreed, Han. I understand that it's not easy to be separated from Leia."
Han made a gesture, but despite his unhappy feelings he laughed
"I still have to make up the years which I lost because I had been so stupid to leave her on Irithim alone." He said grinning and Chewbacca started laughing too. "Have you guys heard the story of a fool who was to proud to admit he made a mistake. Well, I'll tell you later. Yarnick, I will let you know, if I will agree with your proposal. It still is not urgent, for there are still two days left before we bring the second group back and there's a lot to do on Tyr, for Manall has changed the rules how the nuts will be gathered, and he also wants to announce some other changes he has in mind. I think that the third group will get to Myr much later than has foreseen."
Yarnick left the Falcon and Leia looked at her husband.
"He is right, darling. It's more efficient if those two tasks are combined." Leia began, but Han silenced her with a grin.
"I know he is, sweetheart, but I didn't agree immediately, because I don't want to put all my cards on the table at once. Yarnick and his brothers are traders, just like I have been. It's always better not to show your eagerness too soon.
If you and the other two Jedi will travel to Irithim with the Grannd Traveler it will show to the Quelan community that those who first have committed themselves to restore their way of life are still reliable companions. Yarnick and his brothers stepped in much later. They have done good work, but you, me, Chewie, Luke and Tama-Him are the five friends of Toallin and Mugin who promised them to seek out how to liberate Ribana."
Leia embraced her husband.
"I should be more aware of your great loyalty, Han Solo. It's good what we've decided, but I agree with you that it's better if the departure of three Jedi Knights won't be announced too early among this community. My former padawan was right, I'm Mon Mothma's advisor, but foremost I'm a Jedi Knights with a obligation to this Quelan community.

"So Cornell agreed, Shaayla-Car. We may take Lorann with us while we are looking for those documents." Luke said and jumped on the container with the pruning equipment. Liane was sitting cross-legged on an empty crate.
Once we're back on Tyr I will teach Lorann to become part of the Living Force and sense the presence of people around him, as you suggested. We will not yet tell him why he has to know, but it might require some training before he will easily tap into the Force and become one with it's power." Luke said.
"I think that Lorann can already become part of the Living Force, Luke. We'd better talk with Tama-Hin first, Luke, for when we were on Tyr to support Cornell Tama-Hin has already told us that Lorann has a natural talent to become part of his surroundings when he entered the nut wood for the first time. Maybe you only have to make him more aware of all life-forms. I also think it's fair to tell my brother that we will take Lorann with us and give him the guidance he needs. I'm sure that he will go to Lumeara with the reassurance that Lorann won't left without one of the Jedi looking after him." Liane said.
She looked at him.
"Luke, do you have any idea where we have to go?" She asked.
"I have already thought about it, Shaayla-Car. Maybe we should indeed go to Tatooine first. That planet can be reach with some thirty hours, probably less. We land near Ben's hovel and get his diaries. "
"You should take time to read them, Luke, and there's also the separate datapad with your name on it." Liane said.
"As we have another passenger with you I also want to show him some more of the planet."
Liane frowned.
"Last time you wanted to show me Anchorhead you ran into the ruins of the homestead, Luke. I don't want you to feel miserable about that again." Liane said and Luke sense her concern.
"Won't happened, naughty pixie, for thanks to you and your Force skills as a healer I have overcome the pain of all my losses. Maybe I even will have a look at what's left of it. I want to tell Lorann about it and look at the drawing he will make. I should give him a good impression of what Tatooine is, so I want to use the Astræga to show what the planet looks like from above."
"Do you want to tell him about uncle Owen and aunt Beru?" Liane asked.
Luke nodded.
"I don't know if I'm able to sketch their features, but I want to pique Lorann's curiosity and if he develops a deeper look behind what I'm showing him."
"How long do you want to stay on Tatooine, Luke?"
"A standard week, depends on Lorann's reactions, Shaayla-Car?"
Liane began to smile.
"You once told me that you didn't want to be Lorann's Jedi master, Luke Skywalker, but when I'm listening to you now, you're going to take on that task. Maybe not explicitly, but I sense that you will approach Lorann as a Jedi master."
"I need to find out what the boy's skills really are, Shaayla-Car. I'm assuming at the moment that Loran has the skills once were developed in Jedi seers. If I'm right he will become a very important Jedi Knight in the New Order. So I want to tell him about my past and I will show him the present."
"If Lorann possesses the skills of Jedi seer, he also might see images of the future, your future, master Skywalker." Liane said.
Luke grinned and took her in his arms.
"You have shown me my future on Tatooine. Part of it has already become reality and I'm sure that everything I saw will happen." He said and kissed her. "You're my future, Shaayla-Car, and I shouldn't wish for a better one."
Liane put her arms around his neck.
"Where will we go, if Ben's diaries won't give us a clue?" She asked, running her fingers through his hair.
"What do you suggest, my dream princess?"
"I should say Na'ctaMagh'Ba and the Jedi Archive, but I don't know if we can take Lorann with us."
"The Jedi have access to the continent. Lorann is in the company of two Jedi Knights, so I don't expect that would be a problem. It might be a good idea to ask Yoda what he remembers about my birth. He was there on Polis Massa." Luke mused and frowned.
Liane looked in a distance and began to smile.
"Luke, do you think we could visit the waterfall cave again with Lorann. We could tell him why that cave is so special for us."
Luke began to laugh.
"And you're hoping that Lorann will make a drawing of it so we will always remember that special place?"
Liane nodded, but then she laughed.
"I'm getting sentimental abut the underground residence, Luke, for so many good things have happened there. We'd better concentrate on getting those documents. The faster we can lay our hands on them, the better, so we can go back to Palomintar Four. We shouldn't be away too long, only because we want follow all the traces of our past. Let's stick to these two destinations, Luke. If we don't find any good clues we should reconsider what to do next."
"One thing, my love, if we go to the residential area we have to take enough food and drinks with us." Luke said with an insinuating look in his eyes.
"I have already taken care of that on our former trip to Ktafunda, master Skywalker, and as we're traveling in our ship we have a full cargo load with food and drink for weeks." Liane said noticing Luke's teasing. "That reminds me, Luke. Will there be time to pay Jarosho a visit?"
Luke shook his head.
"Not while we're taking care of Lorann, Shaayla-Car, but I promise that Ktafunda will be the first stop on our honeymoon."
Liane stood up and grab the pruning shear.
"I'm going to do some pruning, Luke. At the moment Cemall and Filann are busy in Ribana itself to check on abandoned houses. It feel so terrible that so many Quelans will never come back to Ribana. I surely hope that master Manall will convince enough volunteers among the harvest families to live Ribana itself, so that the houses that will never see their former inhabitants again will be maintained again."
She kissed him.
"I'll see you when Udine and Carmona have the evening meal ready. I'm very glad that Cornell finally seems to accept that Lorann will have a different future than he has planned."
